Nearly 3 Million Teslas Recalled in China Over Hidden Door Handle Risk

China has recalled nearly three million Tesla vehicles due to safety concerns over hidden door handles that may prevent emergency access. The recall also affects other automakers including XPeng, Xiaomi, and Geely, whose vehicles feature similar concealed handle mechanisms. Chinese regulators ordered the action citing risks to occupants in the event of a crash, when quick egress from the vehicle could be critical.
