Over 120 MEPs Urge EU to Resume Talks on Using Frozen Russian Assets for Ukraine

According to Euronews, 122 members of the European Parliament signed a letter calling for renewed negotiations on using frozen Russian assets to support Ukraine, in a move published by Euronews and relayed by Evropeiska Pravda.

The letter argues that Russia must compensate for the damage caused by its war, and therefore its frozen assets should be directed toward financing Ukraine and its defense.

The MEPs expressed support for revived efforts to unlock the frozen Russian reserves, a campaign launched in late August by four EU member states: Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, and Poland.
