A six-year-old girl tragically died in a hospital on Tuesday after sustaining severe injuries during a Russian military strike on Ukraine's Sumy region on March 28.
Oleh Hryhorov, the Head of the Regional Military Administration (OVA), confirmed the devastating news, noting the heartbreaking reality that the victim's parents have now lost two daughters to the same attack.
"Unfortunately, a 6-year-old girl who was severely injured as a result of a Russian strike in the Shostka district died in the hospital," Hryhorov stated. "Doctors fought for her life, but the injuries she sustained turned out to be incompatible with life."
The initial bombardment occurred on Saturday in the Sumy region, causing immediate casualties. During the enemy attack, the young girl's 20-year-old sister was killed instantly. The strike also claimed the life of an adult man and left two other individuals with varying degrees of injuries.
