On the morning of March 29, an air raid alert was declared in Kyiv as military officials detected an approaching Russian drone. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the threat, prompting immediate warnings for the capital's residents.
The danger extended far beyond Kyiv. According to the national air raid map, sirens had been sounding continuously for three to six hours in most Ukrainian regions. Only the western and southern parts of the country were spared from the widespread morning alerts.
The alert in the capital was ultimately canceled after about half an hour. Nevertheless, the threat persisted in other regions where the warnings remained active.
In related news on Sunday morning, authorities provided a grim update regarding a separate enemy attack in the Mykolaiv region. The casualty toll from the strike has risen to 10 people injured, with medical personnel reporting that three of the victims remain in critical condition.
