Azov Brigade Foils Russian Attempt to Bypass Dobropillia on Eastern Front
Ukrainian Azov Brigade forces have successfully countered a Russian tactical maneuver aimed at encircling the strategically important town of Dobropillia in the Donetsk region, according to Ukrainian military reports.
Russian forces had attempted to advance through multiple axes simultaneously in an attempt to cut off Ukrainian defenders and establish fire control over key supply routes feeding the broader eastern front. The Azov Brigade's rapid response disrupted the coordination between advancing Russian units.
Heavy fighting has been reported in the areas surrounding Dobropillia for several weeks, as Russian forces continue their push to expand control across the Donetsk region. Ukrainian artillery and drone teams played a key role in identifying and targeting Russian troop concentrations before they could consolidate their gains.
