Boris Johnson Condemns UK-Russia Diesel Deal as Betrayal of Ukraine

1 min read

Boris Johnson, former UK Prime Minister, issued a sharp condemnation of reported deals in which British companies supplied diesel fuel to Russia despite ongoing sanctions. Johnson called the arrangement a betrayal of Ukraine and demanded an investigation.

Reports indicated that diesel was being routed through third countries to reach Russian buyers. Johnson wrote on social media that anyone profiting from trade with Russia while Ukrainians die is acting immorally.

The UK government said it was reviewing the reports and that any violation of sanctions would be prosecuted.
