CPJ urges Austria to explain forceful detention of Ukrainian Pravda journalists in Vienna

The Committee to Protect Journalists called on Austrian authorities to provide a full explanation for the forceful detention of investigative journalist Mykhailo Tkach and cameraman Yaroslav Bondarenko of Ukrainska Pravda in Vienna.

Both journalists have since been released but face espionage and other charges. CPJ expressed concern over the circumstances of their arrest.
