Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his long-time partner Georgina Rodriguez in a civil ceremony in Cascais, a coastal town near Lisbon, Portugal. Ronaldo announced the marriage on Instagram with a photo of two hands both wearing wedding rings. Within 30 minutes the post received more than three million likes.
Ronaldo and Rodriguez met about a decade ago at a Gucci boutique in Madrid, where she worked as a sales assistant while he played for Real Madrid. Their five children attended the ceremony. The couple had announced their engagement on 11 August 2025, when Rodriguez posted a photo of a ring with the caption "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives."
Ronaldo, 41, has scored nearly 1,000 goals across Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Al Nassr, as well as for Portugal. He recently played in his sixth World Cup, a record he shares with Lionel Messi. In 2025, Bloomberg named him the world's first billionaire footballer.
