Russia Attacks Critical Infrastructure in Dnipro; Three Wounded in Nikopol

1 min read

Russian forces carried out more than 30 attacks on communities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast over the course of a single day, striking a critical infrastructure facility in Dnipro city and wounding three people in the Nikopol district, Ukrainian authorities reported.

Strike on Dnipro

The facility hit in Dnipro was described as a critical infrastructure object. Authorities did not immediately specify its nature, but given the pattern of recent Russian strikes, it is likely related to energy supply or municipal services. Damage to the facility was confirmed.

Nikopol Under Sustained Bombardment

The Nikopol district, which sits directly across the Dnipro River from the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, is one of the most frequently shelled areas of Ukraine. Three residents were wounded in the latest round of attacks on the district.

The proximity to the nuclear plant makes strikes on Nikopol particularly dangerous, as they risk sparking broader incidents near nuclear infrastructure. International agencies including the IAEA have repeatedly called for an end to attacks in the area.
