Donetsk Region Widens Forced Evacuation of Families With Children

The Donetsk regional military administration is extending the zone of mandatory, forced evacuation of families with children to all settlements of the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk communities in the Kramatorsk district, regional head Vadym Filashkin said on social media.

“We are expanding the zone of mandatory evacuation of families with children by force — it now covers all settlements of the Kramatorsk and Sloviansk communities. The security situation keeps deteriorating. The Russians attack Kramatorsk and Sloviansk every day, hitting residential blocks, civilian transport and places where people are. Staying there with children is an unjustified risk,” he said.

Filashkin urged parents: “Do not expose your children to danger and do not wait for a Russian strike to land near your home. Evacuate now.” Specialized police and State Emergency Service teams are involved in the evacuation. After families arrive at a transit point, they will be helped with moving on to safer regions of Ukraine, he added.
