Drone Strikes 9-Story Apartment in Kyiv's Darnytsky District

A Russian unmanned aerial vehicle struck a nine-story residential building on Revutsky Street in the Darnytsky district of Kyiv on Sunday evening, September 27. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko confirmed the hit, saying emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

Damage and Casualties

The UAV struck the building between the 4th and 5th floors. Fires broke out on the 5th and 9th floors. The Kyiv City Military Administration reported one injured woman. Firefighters were working to extinguish the blazes.

The attack is part of continued Russian drone campaigns against Kyiv, which have intensified through 2026, targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure.
