Drone violated Moldovan airspace for third time in one day
Moldova's Defense Ministry reported a third airspace violation in a single day on September 30, as an unidentified object crossed into the country from Ukraine's direction, entering over Shershentsi in the Vinnytsia region and heading toward Slobozia Rashkov in Transnistria.
Flight path and closure
The object was tracked moving toward the village of Tsipova before disappearing from monitoring systems near Braneshty in the Orhei district. Authorities temporarily closed the airspace over central Moldova, reopening it at 21:09 local time. The Air Operations Service announced it was continuing to monitor Moldovan airspace in coordination with competent authorities and partners.
Earlier incidents the same day
The first drone entered Moldovan airspace in the morning, subsequently falling outside the village of Hyrbovets in the Anenii Noi district. It exploded at a height of 40 meters after striking a communications pole. The General Inspectorate of Police confirmed the explosion. A second drone triggered further airspace closures over northern and central Moldova. Defense Minister Anatol Nosaty stated that this second drone was jet-powered.
