Drones Strike Oil Terminal in Rostov Region, Triggering Massive Fire

1 min read

Drones attacked the NZNP oil transshipment terminal in Russia's Rostov Oblast in the early hours of October 10, causing a large-scale fire following several powerful explosions, independent Russian media outlet ASTRA and monitoring Telegram channels reported. Rostov Oblast Governor Yuri Slyusar confirmed the strike.

Eyewitness photos and videos shared online showed a major fire blazing in Rostov-on-Don after a series of blasts. Local authorities confirmed that emergency services were deployed to contain the fire.

The attack on Russian energy infrastructure is part of a broader Ukrainian campaign targeting oil depots, refineries, and fuel storage facilities deep inside Russian territory. Such strikes aim to reduce Russia's fuel supply capacity and disrupt logistics supporting its military operations in Ukraine.
