EU Has Provided 228 Billion Euros in Aid to Ukraine Since Invasion
The European Union has channeled a total of 228 billion euros in aid to Ukraine since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, according to data published on October 14, 2026. This figure encompasses financial, military, and humanitarian support provided by both EU institutions and member states.
Scale of European Solidarity
The 228-billion-euro sum represents one of the largest packages of international support in modern European history. It includes emergency budget financing, low-interest loans, weapons deliveries, ammunition supplies, and support for the approximately eight million Ukrainian refugees hosted across EU member states.
Sustained Commitment
EU officials have repeatedly affirmed the bloc's long-term commitment to supporting Ukraine's defense and eventual reconstruction. Aid has been channeled through multiple mechanisms including the European Peace Facility for military assistance, macro-financial assistance loans, and bilateral contributions from individual EU governments.
