EU: No Signs That Ukraine-US Intelligence Sharing Has Stopped

1 min read

European Commission spokeswoman Paula Pinho stated at a press briefing on October 14 that the European Union has seen "no signs" that intelligence sharing between Ukraine and the United States has stopped. The statement came amid growing concerns about the state of US-Ukraine relations.

Pinho directly addressed the issue, saying: "It is also important to note that we have no signs that... intelligence sharing between Ukraine and the United States has stopped." Her remarks were aimed at reassuring partners that the security cooperation architecture supporting Ukraine remains intact.

Concerns about potential disruptions to US intelligence sharing with Ukraine had been circulating in European security circles. Such intelligence has been considered vital to Ukraine's defense capabilities, helping the country track Russian military movements and protect its forces.

The European Commission's statement reflects the broader EU concern about maintaining the coherence of Western support for Ukraine. EU officials have been monitoring the US-Ukraine relationship closely, particularly in light of domestic political dynamics in the United States.

Western security analysts have noted that US intelligence support has been a cornerstone of Ukraine's ability to conduct effective military operations. Any disruption to this cooperation would have significant implications for the battlefield situation in Ukraine.
