EU to Provide Ukraine €3 Billion in Military Aid Next Week — Zelensky
President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the EU will provide Ukraine with approximately €3 billion in additional military support next week, following a call with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. He thanked von der Leyen for a recent €1.24 billion defence tranche already received by Ukraine. Zelensky noted he informed von der Leyen about Russia’s ongoing brutal strikes, including a Shahed drone hit on a Kyiv power station and attacks on Kharkiv energy infrastructure occurring just before and after their call. He added that teams will discuss further joint actions and cluster opening steps aimed at completing all chapters by year-end. Zelensky also spoke with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
