EU to Release 3 Billion Euros for Ukraine on Thursday

EU ministers will approve a 3 billion euro payment to Ukraine this Thursday under the Ukraine Facility mechanism, following Kyiv's completion of required economic and governance reforms.

The Ukraine Facility is a 50 billion euro EU program running 2024-2027, designed to support reconstruction and reform. Payments are conditioned on milestone achievements. This tranche will help Ukraine manage its fiscal deficit and fund essential services during the conflict. EU officials praised Ukraine's reform progress despite difficult wartime conditions.
