European Commission condemns Kramatorsk attack: perpetrators and accomplices must face justice

1 min read
The European Commission condemned Russia's attack on civilians in Kramatorsk, stressing that all perpetrators and accomplices of war crimes must be held accountable. EC spokesperson Christian Wigand said: Russia has intensified its attacks against civilians. We have seen reports of Russian attacks on buses in Kramatorsk, with the death toll reportedly continuing to rise. He emphasized that the previous day's Russian strikes had already killed 28 people, including five children, three of whom were just one year old. Wigand stated: deliberate attacks against civilians and non-military objects are war crimes. All perpetrators and accomplices of these serious violations of international humanitarian law must be brought to justice. On October 8, Russian forces struck Kramatorsk hitting two passenger buses, killing at least 30 people and wounding 18.
