On October 13, an unknown person opened fire with automatic weapons and killed five military servicemen of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a residential building in Kharkiv region. The attacker is being searched for.

Police noted: "On October 13 in Kharkiv region, an unknown person opened fire with an automatic weapon and killed five military servicemen." Information about the crime has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade confirmed that the deceased were its servicemembers. The brigade also reported a possible involvement by individuals who, presumably, were acting in the interests of Russia.
