'Flash' Channel Accuses Syrskyi of Ignoring MESH Drone Threat for a Year

Andriy Beskresnov, administrator of the 'Flash' military Telegram channel, has publicly accused Ukraine's Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi of inaction regarding the growing threat posed by MESH-networked drone swarms.

In a post that quickly spread across Ukrainian social media, Beskresnov claimed that he and other military experts had been warning top military leadership about the MESH drone threat for at least a year, but that no systematic countermeasure program had been launched in response.

MESH drones — unmanned aerial vehicles that coordinate autonomously via distributed mesh networks — are increasingly used by Russian forces to overwhelm Ukrainian air defenses. Unlike conventional FPV drones, MESH swarms can operate even when individual communication links are jammed, making them significantly harder to counter.

Beskresnov wrote that the delay in addressing this threat has cost Ukrainian forces on the front line and that the military command's inertia is unacceptable given the pace of Russian technological adaptation.

The Ukrainian military has not issued an official response to these allegations. Syrskyi's office did not comment on the claims as of the time of publication.

The 'Flash' channel is considered one of the more credible independent military analysis sources in Ukraine and has a following of several hundred thousand subscribers.
