German FM Warns One-Third of Ukraine's Harvest at Risk from Russian Attacks
German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul warned at the 8th German-Ukrainian Economic Forum that Russian attacks on grain infrastructure put at least one-third of Ukraine's harvest at risk of destruction.
Wadephul stated that famine is a real possibility if the situation is not addressed urgently, and called on international partners to step up support for Ukraine's agricultural sector.
The minister noted that Poland and Romania have so far refused to assist in protecting Ukraine's grain export infrastructure. Disruption of Ukrainian grain exports has had global repercussions, threatening food security in developing nations.
