Investigation: Convicted Cleaner and Mysterious Middlemen Among Those Who Paid Bail for Ex-Presidential Office Deputy Mudra
A Radio Svoboda investigative program 'Skhemy' has revealed details about who paid the bail for Iryna Mudra, the former deputy head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office who was detained on corruption charges. Among those who paid the bail were a meat trading company, a woman previously convicted of theft, and a man who told investigators he simply earned 500 hryvnias for participating in the transaction. The investigation raises questions about the true origin of the bail funds and whether the arrangement was designed to conceal the real source of the money. Mudra served in the Presidential Office before her detention and her case has attracted significant public attention in Ukraine.
