He described the solution to the Islamic world's problems as "unity of words, friendship, and cooperation on the path to good."

The message comes roughly six months after the start of the war between the United States and Iran, which has entered a stalemate. Iran has repeatedly struck US ally military bases in the region in retaliation for American attacks. Relations with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman have deteriorated significantly, complicating Khamenei's call for Muslim solidarity.

Iranian President Massud Peseschkian acknowledged that Iran's foreign trade has collapsed by nearly 35% under US sanctions and a US naval blockade. The Iranian leadership announced new US secondary sanctions targeting gold, technology, digital assets, aviation, and shipping sectors, aimed at cutting off Iran's international trading partners.
