Kharkiv: Fourth Body Recovered After Russian Strike on Residential Building
The death toll from Russia's strike on a residential building in Kharkiv rose to four on October 13 after rescue workers pulled a fourth body from the rubble in the Kholodnohirskyi district, city mayor Ihor Terekhov announced.
Mayor's Statement
"A fourth body was retrieved from under the rubble of the building in the Kholodnohirskyi district," Terekhov wrote on social media. He also reported a new enemy strike on transport infrastructure in the Osnovianskyi district the same day.
Continued Strikes on October 13
By 11:41 local time, another enemy drone hit the Kholodnohirskyi district again. Russia had been bombarding Kharkiv throughout October 12 from early morning until late at night: in the morning, floors of one apartment block were destroyed; in the evening, an entire building entrance section of another was demolished.
Ongoing Russian Terror
Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, has faced persistent Russian attacks targeting residential areas throughout the war. The systematic targeting of apartment buildings is documented as a pattern aimed at terrorizing the civilian population.
