Kyiv Mayor: Drone Debris Falls and Burns Near Park in Solomiyansky District

1 min read

Russian forces continued their drone campaign against the Ukrainian capital on October 13, with drone debris falling and catching fire in Kyiv's Solomiyansky district, Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported.

Klitschko's Report

"In the Solomiyansky district, drone debris has fallen and is burning in an open area near one of the parks. Emergency services are heading to the scene," Klitschko wrote on social media. The debris appears to be from a drone shot down by Ukrainian air defenses.

Ongoing Drone Terror

The October 13 drone incidents follow an intense attack on Kyiv the previous day: Russia had bombarded the city with missiles, including five ballistic missiles that President Zelensky said caused hits despite air defense efforts. Russian forces have been using drones and missiles on a near-daily basis to target Ukrainian cities, including the capital.
