Kyiv Metro Halted, City Faces Power and Water Outages After Energy Strike
Kyiv's metro suspended train services and escalator operations on October 10 after the capital lost power from external feeding stations due to damage to an energy facility in Kyiv Oblast, the Kyiv City State Administration (KMDA) reported.
In addition to the metro disruption, electricity and water supply services were also interrupted in several districts of the city. Utility specialists have been working to restore services.
Tram services were halted in the Holosiivskyi district and parts of Solomianskyi, Shevchenkivskyi, and Pecherskyi districts due to the power failure in the city's energy grid. Authorities urged residents to avoid unnecessary travel until power is fully restored.
