A girl born in 2019 was injured during a Russian drone strike on Bucha district, Kyiv Oblast, on the evening of September 17. Kyiv Oblast governor Tymur Tkachenko reported that the child was diagnosed with acoustic barotrauma and received medical assistance on site.
According to the governor, four objects were damaged in the district during the attack: three private homes and a vehicle. The attack was part of a broader wave of Russian drone strikes across Ukraine that evening, which also targeted Zaporizhzhia and other regions.
The injury of a child underscores the civilian toll of ongoing Russian drone warfare targeting Ukrainian territory. Medical authorities confirmed the girl was receiving appropriate care following the barotrauma diagnosis.
