Russian forces launched drone strikes against Boryspil and Fastiv districts of Kyiv region on the night of September 7-8, causing fires at industrial and logistics facilities, Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported.
In Boryspil district, fires broke out at two industrial enterprises. At one facility, seven cargo trucks were completely destroyed. A logistics complex was struck twice during the attack. Rescue crews responded to extinguish blazes and assess structural damage.
The drone strikes on Kyiv region were part of a wider overnight Russian offensive that also hit Kyiv city with ballistic missiles, killing two people. Poland activated its military aviation to protect NATO airspace in response.
