Kyiv's Pivdennyi Bridge Reopens Toward the Right Bank After Strike
The Kyiv City Military Administration said traffic on the Pivdennyi Bridge has been restored in the direction from the left bank to the right bank of the capital.
“Traffic on the Pivdennyi Bridge has been restored in the direction from the left to the right bank,” the administration said. It reminded drivers that when a red danger level is declared, traffic will be stopped in both directions.
What happened overnight
On the night of October 22, Russia attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles, damaging metro infrastructure on the Pivdennyi Bridge. Traffic on the bridge was temporarily closed in both directions, and some buses changed their routes. Authorities also said the number of buses on routes No. 22 and No. 91 would be increased because of temporary changes in the work of the metro's green line after the attack. Ukrzaliznytsia announced extra Kyiv City Express trains to ease getting around the city given the traffic restrictions on the bridge.
