Kyiv Transit Payment Services May Face Disruptions After Russian Strikes on Data Centers

Kyiv City State Administration issued a warning to residents on September 29, 2026, about potential temporary disruptions to transit payment services between 22:00 on September 29 and approximately the first half of September 30.

The city stated: Due to the constant attacks of the enemy on data centers, technical works will begin tonight at 22:00 and continue approximately until the first half of September 30. Residents were advised to carry cash or plan alternative payment methods during the maintenance window.

The targeting of data centers is part of Russia's deliberate strategy to undermine Ukraine's digital infrastructure and disrupt everyday services for Ukrainian citizens.
