Lithuania foils arson attempt on firm storing Starlink equipment

Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius announced a failed attempt to set fire to a Lithuanian company that stores Starlink communications equipment, according to his Facebook post.

National security commission on October 19

Sinkevicius said he is convening the National Security Commission on October 19 over two incidents in the country, including the intrusion of an unidentified drone. "We need to find out where the drone came from and where radars first detected it. The conclusions of the services after examining the debris will also be important. We will also consider giving the services additional powers to neutralize drones," he said.

He added that another incident occurred overnight: the arson attempt on the company. It failed because the services had warned the firm about possible attacks in time and security had been reinforced. "Our services are watching the activities of hostile states very closely and taking measures to protect people and their property," he said. More in Politics.
