Medvedev Threatens to Destroy Starlink Satellites If Russia's 'Rassvet' Network Is Blocked
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council, threatened on Sunday to destroy American Starlink satellites if any attempt is made to block Russia's new "Rassvet" satellite constellation.
"If their low-orbit Starlink satellites are blocked, they will fall down like toys from a dried Christmas tree," Medvedev wrote on social media, warning that blocking the Russian constellation would mean its destruction, potentially triggering a "full-scale space war."
Medvedev did not specify how Russia could technically carry out such an attack against Starlink satellites.
Earlier, President Zelensky had called on US President Donald Trump to impose sanctions against Russian and Chinese companies allegedly involved in developing the "Rassvet" satellite network — described as a potential competitor to Elon Musk's Starlink.
