NTA Picks First All-Female Drama Acting Shortlist

The National Television Awards have made history by announcing their first ever all-female shortlist for the drama acting award.

The five nominees are Ella Bruccoleri, Sheridan Smith, Ruth Jones, Vicky McClure and Judy Parfitt, each recognised for their standout performances in leading British drama productions.

The announcement has been widely welcomed as a milestone for recognition of women in television drama. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place later this year.
