Ukraine's General Staff Warns of Rumours Ahead of Oleshky Ceasefire
Ukraine's General Staff on Monday, 26 October, urged the public not to spread rumours about the routes along which people and humanitarian convoys will move during the planned evacuation from Oleshky, a town in the Russian-occupied part of the Kherson region.
"Do not trust unverified reports and do not spread rumours about the routes, time and place of movement of people and humanitarian convoys," the General Staff said. It added that from 03:00 on 27 October, Kyiv time, Ukraine will introduce a ceasefire in a designated area to carry out a humanitarian operation in the occupied town.
Aid for residents and free movement
According to the General Staff, the pause in fighting is meant to deliver aid to local residents and to prepare for the free movement of civilians out of Oleshky.
