Poland's Government Security Center warned of an air threat for several counties in Lublin Voivodeship during Russia's overnight drone attack on Ukraine. The alert covered Włodawa, Łęczna, Świdnik, Chełm and Krasnystaw counties.
The warning was lifted shortly after. Poland's Security Center reminded citizens to follow instructions from emergency services if an alert is declared.
This followed a pattern of recent incidents: on September 12, Polish aviation was scrambled and border residents received alerts; on September 8, combat aircraft were airborne due to a massive Russian missile strike on Ukraine.
