Repeated Russian Attacks on Dnipro Leave One Dead, Five Injured
Russian forces attacked the city of Dnipro several times on October 23, including its critical infrastructure. Rescuers pulled the body of a dead person from under the rubble of a destroyed house, and five more people were injured, Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha said.
Casualty figures rise
Hanzha later said that the number of wounded in the attack on the city's suburb had risen to five. All of them were hospitalized, and a 26-year-old man is in an extremely serious condition. Earlier the governor had reported two wounded, a destroyed private house and a possible person under the rubble. At least five private homes were damaged, he said.
"Once again today the enemy struck Dnipro. A fire broke out in the private sector. Preliminary reports are of injured people," Hanzha wrote.
Earlier attacks that day
Before that Hanzha reported another strike on Dnipro that started a fire; according to preliminary information, nobody was hurt in that attack. The Russians also hit the city's critical infrastructure, and information about casualties from that strike was being clarified.
In the morning of October 23, a Russian attack on the Dnipro district wounded two people, and a fire broke out at an enterprise. Hanzha said medics gave the victims all necessary help.
