Russia Strikes Kyiv TV Channel 'My Ukraine', 5 People Injured

During a Russian attack on Kyiv on September 8, the offices of Ukrainian TV channels 'My Ukraine' and 'My Ukraine+' were struck and partially destroyed, with five people injured, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the channel confirmed.

The channel reported: 'Russia again attacked the premises of TV channels My Ukraine and My Ukraine+ on the afternoon of September 8. The main blow fell on the newsroom and working offices, there are casualties.'

At the time of the attack, the channel was broadcasting live as part of Ukraine's national 24-hour news marathon 'United News'.

Zelenskyy wrote: 'The building is partially destroyed. All necessary services are working on site. DSNS workers have already extinguished the fire. As of now, five people are known to have been injured. Unfortunately, the number may increase.'

The deliberate strike on a working media outlet during a live broadcast is part of Russia's systematic targeting of Ukrainian civilian and information infrastructure.
