Russia Attacks Rivne and Region: Dormitories and Residential Buildings Damaged
Russian forces struck Rivne city and the surrounding Rivne region overnight on October 12–13, damaging student dormitories, residential apartment buildings, and non-residential infrastructure, regional authorities reported.
Damage to housing and facilities
Local officials said the strikes caused damage across multiple sites in the city and region. Dormitories — likely affiliated with educational institutions — were among the structures hit. Emergency crews inspected affected buildings to assess structural integrity and ensure the safety of residents.
Rivne is a city in northwestern Ukraine, well away from the front lines, making it part of the pattern of Russian strikes targeting civilian infrastructure across the country rather than military objectives near the active conflict zone. No fatalities were immediately reported.
