Russian forces launched a drone attack overnight on the international Starokazache road border crossing in Ukraine's Odesa region on the border with Moldova, leaving civilian casualties dead and wounded, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service reported on Wednesday morning.
Last night Russia attacked the Starokazache international road border crossing on the border with Moldova with strike UAVs. The drones struck the crossing infrastructure and surrounding area, igniting fires. Regrettably, there are wounded and killed among civilians who were near the crossing, the Border Guard Service stated on Telegram.
Following the attack, border guards suspended all processing of people and vehicles at the crossing. The Moldovan side was immediately informed of the situation. The crossing is the main land connection between the two countries in the Odesa region and handles regular civilian traffic.
