Russia Hits Zaporizhzhia Region 848 Times in a Day, 1 Killed

Russian strikes on the city of Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district on Oct. 19 killed one person and wounded five others, Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia region's Defence Council, said.

"One person was killed and another five wounded as a result of enemy strikes on Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia district," Fedorov said.

848 strikes on 52 settlements

In total, Russian troops carried out 848 strikes on 52 settlements in the region during the day, according to Fedorov.

They launched 14 air strikes and used 613 drones of various types, mostly FPV drones. Rocket artillery hit settlements twice, and there were 219 artillery strikes.

Where the strikes landed

Air strikes hit Balabyne, Kushuhum, Zarichne, Yasna Poliana, Zhovta Krucha, Tavriiske, Novorozivka, Veselianka, Orikhiv, Vilniansk and Vasynivka. Multiple rocket launchers fired on Zaporozhets and Chervona Krynytsia.

Authorities received 83 reports of damage to homes, vehicles and infrastructure facilities.
