Russian Strike on Kramatorsk Residential District Kills Two People

Russian occupation forces launched a strike on a residential district of Kramatorsk in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine on Friday, 11 September. Twenty-one private homes and a car were damaged in the attack, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) reported.

Direct Hit on Residential Building

According to rescuers, one shell scored a direct hit on a private house, completely destroying it. The owner of the home was found under the rubble and died from his injuries at the scene. Emergency services confirmed a total of two people were killed in the attack.

"The occupiers struck the residential district of the city. As a result of the shelling, 21 private houses and a vehicle were damaged," the SESU stated.

Pattern of Attacks on Civilians

The Kramatorsk strike was preceded by another attack in the Donetsk region: Russian troops fired a drone at an ambulance in the village of Yasnohirka, killing a medical worker. Attacks on civilian infrastructure and medical vehicles have become a recurring feature of Russia's military campaign in eastern Ukraine.

Kramatorsk, located in the northern part of the Donetsk region, serves as an administrative hub for Ukrainian-controlled territory in the area and has been subjected to repeated Russian bombardment throughout the conflict.
