Russia Strikes Kyiv North Bridge Again, Damages Heat Pipeline
Russian forces hit Kyiv's North Bridge with a drone on the morning of October 4, marking the second consecutive day of attacks on the critical infrastructure crossing the Dnipro River, Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced.
Road Surface and Heat Supply Hit
According to Klitschko, occupying forces struck the bridge's road surface while vehicles were passing over it. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene. A heating pipeline was also damaged in the strike, cutting hot water supply to the Desnyansky district temporarily.
Videos circulating on social media showed the moment of impact as cars drove across the bridge. The North Bridge connects the right and left banks of the Dnipro River in Kyiv.
Second Attack in Two Days
On October 3, a Russian reactive drone had already struck the North Bridge, which carries both automobile traffic and a metro line. Sunday's repeat attack underscores Russia's targeting of Kyiv's transport infrastructure.
