Russian Airstrikes Kill Ambulance Driver in Kherson, Children Among Wounded
Russian forces conducted airstrikes on Kherson on Friday, killing an ambulance driver and wounding several civilians including children, city military administration chief Yaroslav Shanko announced.
The first report from the military administration stated that a paramedic was wounded in the Korabelny district during a repeated air strike. Shortly after, officials confirmed the ambulance driver's death and reported multiple wounded.
A second Russian strike hit the city while emergency services were responding to the first attack — a so-called double-tap pattern increasingly used by Russian forces against Ukrainian cities.
Kherson has been under regular Russian bombardment since Ukrainian forces liberated the city in November 2022. The city remains exposed to attacks from Russian positions on the opposite bank of the Dnipro River.
