During a nighttime assault on April 1, a Russian drone strike targeted the western Ukrainian city of Khmelnytskyi, sparking a fire at a local industrial facility.
Serhiy Tiurin, the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, confirmed the incident. He reported that Ukrainian air defense units were actively operating in the region during the air raid alert.
"As a result of the enemy attack, a blaze erupted on the premises of an enterprise in the regional center. It is currently being localized by units of the State Emergency Service," Tiurin stated.
According to preliminary information provided by the authorities, the strike did not result in any fatalities or injuries. The incident occurred shortly after the Ukrainian Air Force issued a warning at approximately 01:20 AM, alerting residents to the movement of Russian strike drones toward Khmelnytskyi.
