Russian Drones Hit Kyiv Warehouses and Garages, 12 Injured Today
Russian drones attacked Kyiv again on the evening of 20 October, hitting warehouses in the Desnianskyi district and a garage co-operative in the Sviatoshynskyi district; 12 people have been injured in the capital since morning, according to Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the State Emergency Service (DSNS).
"In the Desnianskyi district a drone hit a warehouse building. In the Sviatoshynskyi district it hit the territory of a garage co-operative. Emergency services are heading to the scene," Klitschko wrote on Telegram.
Attacks since the morning
DSNS noted that Russia has been attacking the capital since the early morning, and 12 people have been injured during the day. Fires that broke out earlier in the Holosiivskyi, Desnianskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts have already been put out by rescuers.
Earlier the mayor reported a hit on an energy facility in the Shevchenkivskyi district. The metro briefly suspended service, but trains were quickly restored. In the morning Klitschko said that in the Holosiivskyi district, a falling drone near a petrol station killed one person and injured seven more.
The attack came after a drone wounded two people and sparked a fire at a logistics complex near Kyiv earlier on 20 October. More news is in our world section.
