Russian forces strike administrative building in Odesa
Russian forces carried out a strike on an administrative building in the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa on October 10, according to Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper.
Strike details
Kiper stated that the enemy struck an administrative building in Odesa, causing damage to the building's facade and roof. Several parked cars nearby were also damaged in the attack. Emergency services quickly extinguished a resulting fire.
The governor later confirmed that the fire had been suppressed and that an investigation into the extent of damage was underway. No immediate reports of casualties were made public at the time.
Ongoing targeting of civilian infrastructure
The attack on Odesa is part of a pattern of Russian strikes on administrative and civilian infrastructure throughout Ukraine. Odesa, a major Black Sea port city, has been repeatedly targeted throughout the conflict.
