Russian glide bomb strike on Sumy city injures six civilians

1 min read

Russian forces struck the city of Sumy with guided aviation bombs (KABs) on September 30, killing or injuring at least six people, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNC). The strike hit three separate locations across the city, damaging both private homes and multi-story residential buildings.

Rescue operations

A roof fire broke out at one of the impact sites, threatening to spread to neighboring structures. Rescue workers temporarily suspended their operations due to the threat of a repeated Russian strike before resuming and successfully extinguishing all fires. Specialists also helped evacuate residents and carried out inspections of the surrounding areas.

Previous strikes on Sumy

The day before, on the evening of September 29, Sumy Regional Military Administration head Oleh Hryhorov reported that Russian strikes on the city had killed two people and wounded nine, including three children.
