In a devastating strike on Sunday, March 29, a Russian guided aerial bomb completely destroyed the editorial headquarters of the local newspaper "Mezhivskyi Meridian" in the frontline settlement of Mezhova, located in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region.

Relentless Strikes on Local Media

According to statements released by the publication's staff on social media, this catastrophic event marks the third time the newspaper's facilities have been targeted in recent months. Preliminary reports indicate the weapon used to decimate the office was a KAB-500 guided bomb. The blast wave and shrapnel also caused extensive damage to residential homes on adjacent streets.

During the same Sunday assault on Mezhova, another Russian bomb struck near the intersection of Independence Avenue and Holy Dormition Street. This secondary explosion resulted in the destruction and damaging of multiple private residences and local shops.

A Tragic Loss of Journalistic Heritage

The destroyed building held significant historical value for the local press, having served as the professional home for "Mezhivskyi Meridian" journalists since 1983. Remarkably, the editorial team had just signed off on the newspaper's 12,219th issue for printing on March 28, merely a day before their long-standing headquarters was wiped off the map.
