Russian Missile Strike on Kyiv: 12 Wounded Including Two Children

Russian forces fired missiles at Kyiv in the early morning hours of September 17, wounding at least 12 people including two children, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the Kyiv City Military Administration. A 10-year-old girl was among the first reported casualties.

Damage in two districts

In Dniprovskyi district, missile fragments fell on several locations, damaging an office building and a residential building. Debris also landed near warehouse facilities and a petrol station. In Sviatoshynskyi district, residential buildings were also struck. The city's emergency services responded to multiple sites across the capital.

The attack was part of a broader Russian ballistic missile assault on Ukraine that night, during which air raid alerts were declared across the entire country.
