Russian forces struck warehouses in Kyiv Solomyansky district on the afternoon of September 8, killing two people and raising the day total death toll in the capital to five. Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed on Telegram.
Three people had already been killed overnight when Russian forces attacked with ballistic missiles. The afternoon strikes targeted industrial storage. Klitschko: "In Solomyansky district, two people died as a result of a hit on a warehouse."
At 17:42 local time, Klitschko reported a second direct hit on another warehouse in Holosiivsky district. Fire spread to an adjacent three-story building. Emergency services worked at three locations across Holosiivsky and Svyatoshynsky districts.
